Hardy Amies – S/S 2003
“For the second catalogue I designed for the British fashion house Hardy Amies, I drew inspiration from Bryan Adams’ photography, which beautifully captured the essence of the collection. The overall aesthetic built upon the first catalogue I created for Hardy Amies, but introduced a contemporary touch with the addition of metallic green, giving it a bold, contemporary edge.”

The hessian backdrop used in the studio photography was adapted for the catalogue’s cover, using a cotton and linen blend with a similar structure and a slightly warmer tone to complement the green accents running throughout the design.

“I had the unique opportunity to explore the Hardy Amies archives at Savile Row, dating back to the house’s founding in 1946. Among the treasures was a piece of wrapping paper adorned with a beautifully designed monogram pattern, which I refreshed and incorporated as the catalogue’s endpaper – an homage to the brand’s rich heritage, ultimately influencing the redesign of the company’s logo.”
