The Wines from Alsace
“The first book I designed for renowned wine and food critic Søren Frank was Alsace. While the interior is filled with stunning photography of the region by Robin Skjoldborg, I took a different approach for the cover. I illustrated the distinctive, slender Alsace wine bottles and built the design around them, opting for a clean, graphic style that reflects the elegance and character of the region’s wines.”
“Following the success of Alsace, I was commissioned to design Frank’s follow-up book, Barolo & Co.. This new project delved into Italy’s Barolo wine, and I continued the visual language established in Alsace. Evolving the concept from the illustration of Alsace wine bottles, I created a pattern featuring Barolo wine glasses, set against a deep black backdrop, which created a sophisticated and distinctive look that echoed the richness of Barolo.”
