Einstein, Einstein
Designing an illustrated book to commemorate Albert Einstein, 50 years after his passing, posed a unique challenge: presenting history’s most photographed scientist in a fresh and cohesive narrative. Collaborating with author Tor Nørretranders, the project became an exercise in creative curation. The task wasn’t to uncover new imagery but to distill a vast historical archive into a focused and compelling selection.

Einstein, Einstein also featured several infographic spot illustrations by Mads Berg, visually explaining Einstein’s theories and concepts with exceptional clarity and style.

The design emphasizes simplicity and exclusivity, employing a two-tone palette of black and a distinctive green-gray. This cohesive color scheme extends through the duotone photography, creating a seamless integration of text and visuals. The result is a modern aesthetic that honors Einstein’s legacy with elegance and refined storytelling.
